"Moved to few doors away corner lot! Ordered their signature steamed fish and it was enjoyable ;)) towards the end of the fish dish, the sauce became saltier but it was just nice at the start. They also hantam quite alot of oyster sauce to the vegetables which can be reduced The claypot chicken was nice while the nyonya sotong was not the best in terms of squid texture."

"Happened to be around nearby in this area. Was looking for a lunch place and ended up here. We were a bit early around noon and lunchtime crowd haven’t came in yet. Chatted with the boss and he recommend us to try their steam fish, the curry vegetable in clay pot plus another pork dish. Fish was nicely done, currry tasted rich enough and overall decent and tasty food. Worth a try."

"We ordered two steamed carp heads, the house specialty and cai pu. Both are good, to my surprise, the owner offered us a lekok carp, the texture was firm. This is the first time I have tested a firm texture carp. I was told that they are rare and you only get them by chance. This is the highlight of the meal. San pui chicken was standard and you shouldn't miss the claypot kangkung. This restaurant opens everyday, except for lunch on Saturday and Sunday. 3 stars for the atmosphere due to non air-conditioned."

"Restaurant run by Mr. Kwan. 7 years in operation but was closed during the full lockdown period. Mr. Kwan is a friendly and down to earth chap. We visited on a Saturday evening in a large group - 6 adults and 7 children. We had a choi poh steam fish, sambal sotong, claypot chicken, omelette, crispy bacon, sir fry mixed vege. Great flavours. Fantastic service. Must try."

"This one in PJ's Jalan Penchala has been a mainstay in the PJ area for many years now. It's a popular haunt for those wishing to savour really fresh fish steamed and cooked in their many variety of sauces available. There another steamed fish restaurant simply called Mun Kee, so don't be confused. Note that parking spaces are VERY limited, and you might find yourself parking a little further down the road or even have to turn into the residential area to find a place to park during peak hours. Otherwise, come early, and you might be lucky enough to park right in front of the shop itself. The steamed fish here is very good. Even if you're dining alone, ask them for a single portion or a very small fish, and they will gladly oblige. When I last went, we were just a party of two, but they still managed to get one fish (sans tail) and satisfy our craving. They can prepare your fish in many styles, from ginger steamed to curry. The vegetables here are also cooked well, and complement the fishes perfectly. It's very reasonably priced and you can be assured of a good meal here."

"We went to Restoran Hoe Mun Kee in PJ Old Town for dinner and tried their Signature Steamed Fish Head and Sauce Steamed Fish Head. We came here on a few occasions for family dinners and knew that the food tastes good. Most of the dishes are cooked to order (especially the steamed fish head dishes) so you can taste the freshness and flavour of the fish. This restaurant is not too crowded so dinner was a pleasant one. We ordered a few different dishes to try on previous dinners like Assam Steamed Fish Head, Salted Egg Squid (our favourite), Claypot Kangkung, Ginger Paste Steamed Fish, Stir Fry Lettuce with Garlic & Oyster Sauce, Special Homemade Beancurd and Assam Squid. Everything we ordered tasted delicious and we enjoyed the food very much."
